Solar Removal & Re-Install Projects

When the roof under an array needs work, most homeowners discover their roofer will not touch the panels and their solar company will not touch the roof. Gridless Global brings both into one organized process: sequence and objectives documented, proposals organized, communications between the roofing and solar providers coordinated, and the warranty and closeout records from each collected in one place. The detach, the roofing and the re-install are performed by the appropriately licensed contractors engaged for each scope.

Owner-side project advisory, coordination and administration from planning through closeout. Gridless organizes the people, information, documentation, budgets and decisions, while appropriately licensed contractors and professionals remain responsible for regulated work.

Common questions

Something not covered here? Ask us directly - we would rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Ask a question
How long is my system offline?
Typically three to seven days for a standard residential roof replacement. We help you line the detach and re-install up with the roofing provider so the gap stays as short as the work allows.
Will removal void my panel warranty?
Not when a licensed contractor performs and documents the work, which is exactly what we help you put in the scope you agree with them. Removal by an unqualified crew is a genuine warranty risk, which is much of the reason this service exists.
Can you help with an insurance claim?
On the documentation, yes, and that is usually what a claim turns on. We record the condition in detail and prepare the itemised scope your claim needs. Adjusting, negotiating or settling the claim itself is for you, a licensed public adjuster or your attorney - we will tell you when you need one rather than blur that line.

How licensed work is handled

Gridless Global provides owner-side advisory, project-administration and coordination services. Gridless does not perform regulated trade or professional work. Construction, installation, engineering and other services requiring licensure are separately performed by appropriately licensed independent professionals responsible for their own work. The scope Gridless can offer varies by jurisdiction.

Property documentation, not claim representation. Gridless Global is not a public adjuster and does not prepare, file, adjust, negotiate or settle insurance claims for compensation. We may organize property records, photographs, contractor documents and repair information for your own records. If you need claim representation, work directly with your insurer or an appropriately licensed public adjuster or attorney.
