Siding & Exterior Projects

Gridless Global helps owners organize siding replacement and exterior improvement projects: requirements, material choices, contractor information, project documentation, costs and milestones. Licensed contractors perform and remain responsible for the construction work where licensing is required.

Owner-side project advisory, coordination and administration from planning through closeout. Gridless organizes the people, information, documentation, budgets and decisions, while appropriately licensed contractors and professionals remain responsible for regulated work.

What we organize

What Gridless helps organize on your project

Talk to a project advisor
01

Siding replacement

Full tear-off with sheathing inspection, then the cladding system suited to your climate and maintenance appetite.

02

Weather barrier & flashing

House wrap, window and door flashing and drainage planes detailed correctly, which is where most failures originate.

03

Continuous insulation

Exterior rigid insulation installed during residing to cut thermal bridging through the framing.

04

Soffit, fascia & trim

Low-maintenance systems with the ventilation path preserved rather than blocked.

05

Gutters & drainage

Seamless gutters, guards and downspout routing that moves water away from the foundation.

06

Commercial cladding

Metal panel, composite and rainscreen systems for commercial and industrial facades.

Common questions

Something not covered here? Ask us directly - we would rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Ask a question
Does new siding reduce energy bills?
The cladding itself does very little. What saves energy is what goes behind it - air sealing, corrected flashing and continuous exterior insulation. Since the wall is open anyway, that work costs a fraction of what it would as a standalone project.
Can you side over existing siding?
Sometimes, but we rarely recommend it. Covering over hides moisture damage and prevents correcting the weather barrier, which is usually the actual problem.
Which material lasts longest?
Fibre cement and metal typically give the longest service life with modest maintenance. Vinyl is the value option and engineered wood offers the most authentic appearance. We match the recommendation to your climate and budget.

How licensed work is handled

Gridless Global provides owner-side advisory, project-administration and coordination services. Gridless does not perform regulated trade or professional work. Construction, installation, engineering and other services requiring licensure are separately performed by appropriately licensed independent professionals responsible for their own work. The scope Gridless can offer varies by jurisdiction.

Next step

Let us start with the numbers

A measured energy analysis tells you which improvements actually pay, and in what order. It is the cheapest thing we do and the most useful place to begin.

  • No-obligation consultation and budget guidance
  • Independent - we answer to you, not to a contractor
  • Incentives handled, permits tracked for you
  • Warranty paperwork collected and registered in your name
